I have to give props to Rebekah and the easily enjoyable world she's created in My Dad's. It's not easy to pull off a main character by the name of Ima Berry, and she does it without seeming contrived.

This is the perfect just before bed reading. It's light, funny, and I've only read a handful of books where the author can write a hot guy as well as Rebekah. And let me tell ya, there's more than one in this entertaining paranormal romp. I don't mean harlequin hot either. I mean, the girl has some kind of mad talent at giving just enough detail to let your mind create the ultimate boy(s) for your main character to fall in love with.

It's not all mushy though, Ima is a tough girl with a dry wit and she's definitely worth the read.

I recommend My Dad's to anyone that enjoys an effortless paranormal YA.

I don't remember the last time I absolutely couldn't sleep until I finished a book - but Seeking Shapeshifters was that for me! I loved it, and you will too!
This is a fabulous read! I wasn't sure which of the boys to root for, they were all swoon-worthy. The characters were well-drawn and compelling in the stakes at hand. There wasn't a dull moment in the book, the twists and turns keep you on the edge of the seat. Even the ending made me think there's more to come in this story. This read will definitely melt your heart!! An author to watch!!
It is very exciting to see someone you know (and call friend) get published and then having read it I can honestly say "Awesome Job" Rebekah!

I love the main character's name, Ima Blue Berry! Great imagination!

I read the book in one setting. Never a dull moment. It flowed and came together perfectly. I can't wait to read the sequel!

Monster chase scene's, scary ghost scene's, love scene's, break your heart scene's, man's (or I should say Ims's) best friend, single parents, best friends, Alaskan wilderness, eskimoe lore and shifters! Who would think you could throw all of that into one book and it make any sense! lol

I would recommend it to anyone! And I can't wait for the hard copy this one is a keeper!
I think that this was an amazing book. I love YA books aswell as adult books and I like to read most YA's before I let me daughters read them and this book would be perfect for any child ages 12+. It was well written and I love the main theme of the book.

Ima Blue Berry is the child of a paranormal investigator who has his own TV show Berry PI. Ima is loves the paranormal as much as her father but when the TV season ends they move to Alaska to look for more places to investigate in the off season. Ima soon discovers that there is more to Alaska than just ghosts... boys. She also has to decide who to trust and if blood is thicker than water.

The end of the book leaves a few unawnsered questions that I would have loved to know the awnsers to but it is a great opportunity for Ms Purdy to write a sequel, HINT HINT ) I hope that you will all check out this book and even if you don't normally read YAs this is a book that doesn't disappoint even for those of us that prefer more adult genres.

"Seeking Shapeshifters" is a winning and entertaining YA novel which makes the paranormal seem logical and likely. Likeable protagonist Ima Blue Berry is a partner with her dad, a single parent, in Berry S.I.--Berry Special Investigations, an organization which tracks and studies paranormal events, and films the investigations for television. When they move to Point Hope, Alaska, hoping to find shapeshifters, Ima has to try anew to make friends at the high school, and this time, she finds her first ever boyfriend, Carsen. Of course, Carsen has secrets, and so do his cousins, Talon and Ferren. When Ima finds footprints that show human prints changing over to bear prints, she knows that Shapeshifters are real at least in this Alaskan region.

"Seeking Shapeshifters" is an enjoyable and fast-paced read which will appeal to YA lovers of paranormal romance, but also to older readers like myself. I look forward to more novels from author Rebekah L. Purdy.
This book has the potential to be the next young adult series to catch on fire like the Twilight Saga or Harry Potter. It catches your attention in the first chapter and holds it until the last. My only disappointment was it ended too soon. The author leaves many unanswered questions I hope she writes a sequel soon!
