Wandering Star A Zodiac Novel Romina Russell Books

There are a lot of things that I really enjoyed about this book, but two things in particular that I absolutely loved.

First, this is a second book in a series that is actually BETTER than the first! So often second books can feel like a stepping stone from one book to the next, but WANDERING STAR definitely has its own very important and very fascinating plot.

And second, the villain in this story is UH-MAZ-ING! They are mysterious, completely unpredictable, and their influence has spread throughout the Galaxy, making it impossible to know which characters you can trust and which ones you cannot.

Rho is such a fascinating character. She has this tremendous inner-strength, but at the same time she is plagued by these doubts and insecurities that make her read very authentically like an actual young adult.

The stakes in this story are literally life and death, and the pacing keeps you on the edge of your seat. The setting is absolutely stunning. I could spend days on Pinterest creating mood boards for these books.

I also really love how the strengths of other Zodiac Houses are explored further here. I love that the premise of this series is based around astrology. It's such a fun and creative idea, and I love exploring it through these books.

Wandering Star A Zodiac Novel Romina Russell Books Reviews

I finally got around to the next book. Been a while since I read book 1 so I had to read the last chapter of that book to get up to speed.

I find the author's style to be a good fit to my A.D.D. brain. But I would recommend this series to any readers who enjoy fantasy sci-first.
Romina, you did it again! You've got me hook-line and sinker. I finished this book in less than 2 days, I hate myself for reading it so fast but I couldn't stop! You continue to surprise the readers with each new mystery and slowly revealing them. The introduction of each new world refills my excitement and causes me to keep reading until I get to meet another guardian. It hurts knowing the same feeling I got last year after finishing book 1 and having to accept the fact I have to wait one more year for the next book, but I know it'll be worth wild! Keep on writing Romina!
~Zac (House Capricorn)
The series is getting better and I am 100% hooked. Cancel my weekend plans and fire up the food delivery. Zodiac Series, Book 3...im all in.
Definitly and improvement from the first book. The interactions between characters was better for me, and there were a few more surprises that I enjoyed. Eventhough I'm still having troubling looking Rho, the plot of this book was an improvement enough from the first book to keep me going. I wont give up on this series yet! On to book three!
I loved this book and it was one of the best books I've read in a long time. I cannot wait until it comes out and I'm going to start reading it as soon as I can. I like all the imagination put into this series and I'm excited for what's going to happen in Black Moon. I've read a lot of books and series, but I think this is one of my favorite series next to Harry Potter. I loved this book and I'm excited for the next one.
Since this is Book 2, I'm going to assume you've read Book 1 and enjoyed it. All of the problems I had in the first one are still there, but it's only fair to judge the sequel based on how it stacks up against the first.

And honestly, for what it is, I enjoyed it even more than the first. The world-building is still on point. The pacing is greatly improved. And I loved the new villains introduced at the halfway point. I liked that there was an element of unpredictability as to where the overall plot was going to go next. I was even somewhat interested in the, ahem, love triangle, if only because I missed Matthias's groundedness, so someone who's actually into that kind of thing will probably continue to enjoy it here.

I will say it was a fight to remain in Rho's point of view the entire story. She goes from bland to unforgivably stupid in this installment, and not only do the other characters fail to hold her responsible for her actions, they practically fight each other to see who can kiss her butt more. She. Is. Unbearable in this story. But that was really the only problem aggravated from Book 1. It tempted me to put the book down a few times, but I persevered and ended up enjoying the overall experience.

In short, if you liked the first one, you'll like this one.
I am IN LOVE with this series.
You have no idea who the "bad guy" is and I suspect it could be all sorts of different people at any given time. So well written and so fun to read. Easy to keep up with without getting bored. It's been a long time since a book has made me laugh and cry like this one. Absolutely cannot wait to read the next one.
